Giveaway

{Photo collage of recipes our  family has made from PW’s cookbook- including: Skillet Cornbread, Perfect Pot Roast, PW’s Creamy Mashed Potatoes, and French Breakfast Puffs}

First of all, THANK YOU for everyone who stopped by to read my review of “The Pioneer Woman Cooks: Recipes from an Accidental Country Girl” and entered for a chance to win a signed copy.  I was blown away but not the least bit surprised to read how much Ree enriches the lives of others.  As I read through each comment I identified with every person and their reason(s) for why Ree is so special.  Clearly she has a gift with words and people.   She is more than The Pioneer Woman.  She is a woman who passionately shares her life in the most profound way.. impacting and blessing the lives of millions daily.  How can one not love her?  Can I get an Amen?! (Pretty sure I’m already preaching to the choir.)

As I followed PW’s Twitter feed this week, I was so excited for every person who waited up to 5 hours to have their cookbook signed.  I was equally excited for Ree’s family including the Punks, Betsy, Mike, and Malboro Man!  I even read they were also signing cookbooks!  And to think, this was only the first week of the launch of her cookbook. -Lord have mercy on Ree’s right signing hand.  Wow… this is only the beginning for her.

For one lucky person a signed copy is coming to your door.  I wish I had 237 copies to give each and every person who entered but for those of you who did not win, I hope you will still order her book because it is truly wonderful.

Now for the moment you’ve all been waiting for.. (drum roll please)…….

The winner of the giveaway is… Minde Briscoe.  CONGRATULATIONS!

Finally I have some news to share.  This week I finally took the leap and opened a Facebook account (after I swore to family and friends I never would!) and Fan Page for Savory Sweet Life.  I will just be candid and honest with you.  I have no clue how Facebook works but I do want to learn.  When it comes to Social Media, Twitter is my first love.  The Fan Page is for Recipe/Post updates.  Would you consider becoming a Fan and Friend of SSL on  Facebook?  I would really appreciate it cause I feel pretty vulnerable as a newbie right now.

Also, if you haven’t already, I invite you to explore the recipes on Savory Sweet Life and subscribe by RSS. I love to post tons of photos with each recipe such as this one for my favorite chocolate chip cookies. Never miss any of my Everyday Recipes from me, your Everday Home Cook.

Have a wonderful day!

- Alice

I also recently created a Facebook page… Still figuring out how I am going to use it and whether or not it should have additional content. Will definitely become a fan of SSL!
