James Beard Celebrity Chef Tour : A night to remember with Chef Ethan Stowell

Last Thursday evening my sister and I attended the Celebrity Chef Tour benefiting the James Beard Foundation at Seattle’s Columbia Tower Club. The dinner was hosted by Executive Chef of the Columbia Tower Club, Chef James Hassell featuring James Beard Award Nominee and Restauranter Chef Ethan Stowell of Union, Tavolàta, and How to Cook a Wolf.

Honestly I wasn’t sure what to expect. This would be my first time dining in the Columbia Tower Club and partaking in one of Chef Ethan’s meals. When we arrived the first thing I noticed was the absolutely stunning and sweeping views of Downtown Seattle and beyond. The next thing I noticed is how intimate our dining area was. And the winner is…. ME! Celebrity Chef Tour 2009

celebrity_chef_tourThis morning when I checked my email I was stunned to see an email from Keren of FranticFoodie.blogspot.com.  In the Subject heading was: WINNER.  Say what? As I read her email I couldn’t believe what I was reading.  I won 2 tickets to the coveted Celebrity Chef Tour Benefiting the James Beard Foundation.  These tickets cost $175 each! I was having a Cinderella moment.  THANK YOU KEREN!!!  I had entered a contest on her site sharing what my most embarrassing moment in the kitchen was and she randomly picked my name.  In case you’re wondering what my response was, here it is.  [click to continue…]
