The May Daring Bakers’ challenge was hosted by Linda of make life sweeter! and Courtney of Coco Cooks. They chose Apple Strudel from the recipe book Kaffeehaus: Exquisite Desserts from the Classic Cafés of Vienna, Budapest and Prague by Rick Rodgers.

This strudel is my  first baking challenge as a Daring Baker and let me tell you, it was a labor of love. The past few weeks I have been hesitant to start this project because of the work involved with stretching the dough paper thin. Needless to say it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be and now I can confidently declare I have conquered my fear of making strudel. [click to continue…]
