Taking a Break

Last update: July 15, 2016 By Alice Currah 130 Comments

Dear Friends,

As many of you know, one week ago today my father passed away suddenly.   As a result, I’m taking a break from Savory Sweet Life for a couple weeks to help my mother.  I appreciate all your support this past year and during this difficult time for my family and I.  Thanks for understanding.

Happy New Year,

Alice

    Thank you everyone for your sweet comments. I do read each and every one of them. I don’t have much time for email or the computer these days but appreciate your thoughtfulness.

    Melinda – So sorry for your loss. I hope and pray that it gets easier every day.

    How strange. My dad died suddenly Jan. 8 and I’ve been feeling a bit weepy today, so while looking for some distraction I linked to your site for the first time from PW’s and there was your post. I’m sorry you are going through this loss. I will be thinking of you and your mother, and certainly empathize with you. I did great the week after while making all the arrangements but i guess now the reality is setting in. We will miss those special men in our lives. It will take some time to get used to their absence! My condolences to you and your mother.

    Alice, I am so very sorry for your loss. We just lost my husband’s father quite unexpectedly as well. Not a fun time at all. My thoughts have been with you and your family. I wish you the best during this very difficult and tragic time. Take care.

    I pray the Lord’s strength would be with you and your family. I can’t imagine the heartache of that loss.
    Ps 147
    He heals the brokenhearted
    and binds up their wounds.He determines the number of the stars;
    he gives to all of them their names.Great is our Lord, and abundant in power;
    his understanding is beyond measure.
