Oh Alice! I’m greatly anticipating my second Little’s first Thanksgiving and the photo of those chubby hands in the Cranberry Apple Crisp is killing me! The cuteness! The yummyness! The tiny knuckle indentions! I’m not entirely sure which one I want to eat up first… Thank you for the recipes – I’ve never tried sweet potato pie and this recipe looks scrumptious.

Your sweet potato pie looks like the perfect picture of Thanksgiving. I’m thinking about doing something different this year. Having a very small group – only six people around the table. Thinking about doing a deconstructed pumpkin pie. Guess I’m using “Top Chef” terminology. A parfait with layers of shortbread (for the crust) , a pumpkin custard that cooks on the stove for the filling and whipped cream topping. I bought cinnamon sticks to garnish each parfait to give it a bit of drama. The same flavors (or pretty close) but it’ll just look different.

mmm… love pumpkin which is why this is my favorite time of the year. Even if I’m doing Thanksgiving dinner for the first time this year! 🙂
