This morning I received an email from my editor asking me how I was feeling with publication date less than a week away. It’s funny, I spent nearly the entire weekend doing yard work as I frantically nested before my baby aka my cookbook arrives. Even as I was pulling out blackberries starts and cutting down bushes I kept laughing to myself because I knew that I was, in fact, nesting. Just like I did with all three of my kids. The week before Abigail was born I painted 3 rooms in our house. Days before Mimi arrived I steam-cleaned all the carpets. A week before Eli arrived I cleared 2000 sq feet of laurel hedging and blackberry brambles. I do not mess around.
But yes, my cookbook is coming to a store near you and I am so excited for those of you who receive a copy to cook from it!
