Savory Sweet Life

Simply Delicious Recipes for Everyday Living

Thank You and a Tovolo Pops Giveaway

Last update: March 6, 2018 By Alice Currah

I’m not sure if you’ve noticed but I haven’t been posting as often lately.  Now that both my daughters are on summer vacation, we’ve been busy going to the park, beach, errands, swim team practices, and the list goes on.  I’m sure you would agree my priorities are where they need to be including making homemade ice cream and popsicles for the kids.  Right?  Well I think a few of you should make your own popsicles too.  I was shopping at University Village yesterday and finally bought these Tovolo popsicle molds I had been wanting for two years.  Even though they aren’t very expensive, I always felt a little strange buying $12 ice pop molds when you could easily just use an ice cube tray.  EXCEPT, they aren’t as cute.  Therefore every time I would see these molds I would contemplate whether or not I should buy them and each time I walked away.  But I finally broke down and bought them.  Not only did I buy 2 different molds, I bought a few extras to giveaway here on Savory Sweet Life.

I’ve appreciated all the wonderful support everyone has shown me this past year and wanted to giveaway something someone like myself may or may not buy for themselves.. like these Tovolo molds.

I thought it would be great to give three of them away.  One for Facebook Fans of Savory Sweet Life, one for Twitter followers of SSL, and one for anyone else who subscribes to the RSS feed or receives these posts via email.  You may leave up to three comment/entries based on whether you are a FB Fan, Twitter Follower, or RSS Subscriber.  If you aren’t a fan, follower, or subscriber, feel free to do so right now by clicking on those icons on the left hand side bar at the top of the page under the Martha’s Circle badge. For each one that you are, this gives you an entry to the contest.  There is no need to tweet, although you are certainly welcome to.   Please leave a comment/entry with your favorite popsicle or ice cream flavor.  Or tell me what you’ve been doing this summer followed by whether you are a fan, follower, or subscriber.

**Example of three types of entries** “I love strawberry ice cream and I follow you on Twitter”.  Or “I like creamsicle ice cream bars and I am a Facebook Fan of SSL”.  Or “I subscribe to your RSS feed on Google Reader and we’ve been camping all summer long.”  Good luck everyone and thank you so much for all your support!

The winners will get to choose between the two molds pictured above.  More information about these molds can be found below:

Tovolo Yellow Groovy Pop Molds

Tovolo Green Shooting Star Pop Molds

Contest ends July 4, 2010 at 9pm PST.  Winners will be chosen at random and will be posted back here.  Contest is open to US mailing addresses only.

Note from Alice:  I am loving all the ice cream and popsicle flavors!!  Can’t wait to try to make some of your suggestions.  Also wanted to point out, if you enter the contest and follow this blog more than one way, be sure to enter a second or third comment.  Good luck!

**UPDATE**  First of all, thanks to everyone who entered the contest.  Your support of this site means so much to me.  I plan on having more giveawys such as this just for those who do subscribe to SSL in one way or another.  Congrats to the three winners below. I’ve sent you emails.

A few years ago I tried a recipe for popsicles made from cantaloupe. They were delicious but I can’t find that recipe and can’t remember what else was in them. I normally visit your blog regularly but now I’ve signed up on Yahoo Reader.

When I was little my mom and I would make popsicles out of canned orange juice. They will always be my favorite, even though when you sucked on them, all the concentrate came out and you were left with an ice cube on a stick. I’m a facebook fan.
